Coming Soon: Mid-Century Modern Home with Palo Alto Schools and Panoramic Views of the Silicon Valley

As a Real Estate Broker in the Silicon Valley, I get the opportunity help my clients buy and sell some amazing estates and homes. I am over-the-moon to be representing my clients and their spectacular Mid-Century Modern home, perched upon nearly two acres in Los Altos Hills! I’m so excited that I cannot stand it any longer and want to first share the history of the home and how it was built and show you some of the old black and white photos of the construction site from the late 1950’s. The home was known as the “Roth House” and is one of the first (if not the first) home of its kind built using steel girders.

For my construction gurus out there, the following three photos are of the detailed description of what went into the construction, including 11 tons of steel and very little excavation of the hillside:

My property inspectors all said, “this is one of the most well-built homes we’ve seen in a long time!” All too often, historical data and truly unique architectural features are lost to the “new and shiny.” You can install all of the new and shiny objects into any house you want, but you won’t find one like this unique, solidly-built home that offers panoramic views of virtually the entire Silicon Valley, Palo Alto schools AND quiet, private surroundings!

Silicon Valley is far more built-up since this photo from the site was taken.

Can you imagine construction workers today balancing on steel beams?
