Menlo Park Real Estate and The Community of Menlo Park, CA

Dawn’s intimate knowledge of the community makes her an expert in Menlo Park Real Estate!

With spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay and the majestic Pacific Coastal Range, Menlo Park is a quiet yet energetic city with outgoing, diverse and community-minded residents. With a population just under 33,000 in its 19 square miles, this well-to-do city was awarded the distinction as a Tree City for its abundance of canopied boulevards. Menlo Park has ranked in the top 15 on CNN’s “Best Places for the Rich and Single” to live list.

Its appealing, pedestrian-oriented Downtown Shopping District is a lively blend of unique and upmarket shops, boutiques and eateries that attract locals and visitors alike. Offering multiple indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, the town’s Civic Center campus is a top attraction with its heritage trees, fountains, duck pond and the adjacent 9-acre Burgess Park brimming with athletic fields, picnic areas, skate park and pool. Menlo Park is also home to the oldest, continually operating train station. This historical landmark still stands on the CalTrain station platform and currently serves as the town’s Chamber of Commerce office.

Known as the “Venture Capital” of the world, Menlo Park’s Sand Hill Road is lined with a generous amount of venture capital firms, each of which help shape emerging technologies in the Silicon Valley and beyond. In fact, Google was founded here in 1998 before moving to its current location in Mountain View. Facebook is the city’s largest employer but Sunset Publishing, US Geological Survey and SRI International, to name but a few, have campuses in Menlo Park.
